Kyle Schachtschneider attended the 8th International Conference on Animal Health and Veterinary Medicine in Toronto, Canada on October 20-21. Dr. Schachtschneider delivered an invited keynote presentation entitled "The oncopig cancer model:An innovative large animal translational platform for addressing unmet clinical needs". The conference focused on the theme “One Health, One Society” and featured speakers from around the world. Animal Health 2017 was organized in a signatory approach with a diverse and dynamic group of speakers. The conference focused on recent approaches in veterinary medicine and animal health with a focus on one health. The sessions highlighted the current challenges, issues, opportunities, and innovations related to Animal and Veterinary Sciences. Dr. Schachtschneider also served as Co-chair of the first oral session, as well as a poster judge for the Excellent Poster Award.
