Mario Neto is a Post-doctoral Research Associate working on developing a porcine model for hepatocellular carcinoma and defining the chemotherapy response of porcine cancer cell lines. He joined the lab in April 2017 with the goal of showing that the pig is a better predictor of human clinical trial outcomes than currently existing preclinical models. Mario has an undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Genetics from the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry (Molecular Genetics) from the University of Lisbon as well, in collaboration with Northwestern University.
